Art business project is starting. We're starting a REAL business in the art field and want to follow its development for a time. Rising Point is the name of the company. It will be an LLC. We're filing a fictitious name, developing a logo, collecting sales tax, obtaining an EIN, and developing a business plan. There are many relevant copyright issues related to art which is especially appropriate for this project. The topics I want to be most concerned with are:
moral rights - the US in all practicality has no legislation related to moral rights
indigenous cultures - works of art created by natives
transformative rights - a painting which has similarity to another painting by a famous artist
There will be more details, just wanted to capture some thoughts as we progress.
