Brian Taylor wrote in the Chronicle of Higher Education (3/18/2012) about mentoring tips for first timers. The article was actually from the 'by line' of a Female Science Professor. Pre-tenure faculty appreciate the assistance from colleagues even if their instutitions do not have a strong mentoring program which assigns mentors. It doesn't mean those who are tenured no longer need mentoring. More details from
