The QVC Collaborative Study Area is now open
in FHG Library, Room 252
With combined funding from QVC, Inc. and West Chester University,
we have created a collaborative study area for group project work in the FHG
Library. This state-of-the-art study
facility features five (5) pod computer stations with 42” professional LCD
monitors, each pod seating five students.
Laptops may also be connected to the monitors for those who prefer that
option. All valid students and faculty
may take advantage of this exceptional facility during normal library hours.
There are a few “House Rules” which need to be followed when
using this study area:
* Minimum of two
persons per table
* First-come-first
served use
* NO food or
beverages
* Cell phones
silenced or on vibrate
* Respectful
noise levels should be maintained
* Printing is not
supported. Output should be saved or
emailed.
* General
Assistance is available at the circulation desk.
A regular feature of the QVC Collaborative Study Area will
be exhibits of faculty and student art work.
Our inaugural exhibit is a series of photographs entitled, “The Faces
& Places of WCU” by Lin Tan, Professor of Mathematics. These photographs will be for sale with a
portion of the proceeds benefiting selected WCU funds.
We’re interested in your opinion of this service and its
value to you. Calls, emails or blog
postings are welcome!
