Looking to forget about the ending of summer and beginning of another school year? Sure, the start of a new semester can be a great experience, but do you ever wish you could leave it all behind and join an expedition to the South Pacific, or Antarctica, or Mars? Come to the library for the next best thing: the chance to lose yourself in an exciting tale of adventure! We’ve compiled an exhibit of books and material which will take you all over the world and the Seven Seas to the vast reaches of outer space and the wilderness of the wildest imagination. Most of the books in the exhibit can be checked out, so stop by for some great reading suggestions! (Just ask at the circulation desk for assistance.)
The Passport to Adventure exhibit is located on the 2nd floor of the FHG library across from the QVC Information Commons, and it includes fiction and non-fiction books from the library's general collection, rare and antique children’s books from Special Collections, DVDs from the IMC, maps from the Map Room, and objects like snowshoes and seashells on loan from the library’s staff. The exhibit is open during normal library hours and will be ongoing throughout the Fall semester.
