West Chester University Special Collections and Archives is proud to present our newest digital collection, the West Chester University Postcard Collection. Part of the West Chester University Archives, this collection features postcards depicting West Chester’s campus and student life, primarily from the early twentieth century. Many of the postcards include inscriptions from students, faculty, past presidents, and other visitors to the campus.
You can click on the link above to explore - This collection will help you to explore the West Chester University campus as it once was - we're sure you will notice lots of changes! Make sure to look at the messages on the back of the postcards, including the message from Sadie Kolbe to her mother, "Dear Mother, Arrived here safely at 12:45 P.M...I like it very much but I am simply crammed with exams..." Perhaps things on campus haven't changed so much after all!
