There are now TWO brand new exhibits in the display case outside Room 615 on the 6th floor of the F.H.G. Library. Both exhibits showcase materials from our Special Collections.
The first was inspired by this image (above) from our Historic Photograph collection. The photo depicts a juvenile literature display from 1929, which was used to promote Book Week. In order to recreate this, we have re-made several of the original posters, and mimicked the set-up and circus theme. The current display even features some of the original books!
If you are interested in history, juvenile literature, or old photographs, stop by the 6th floor to get a closer look at this exhibit and find even more materials!
Also in this display case is our Yearbook Exhibit. It showcases several signed yearbooks from throughout WCU’s history. Find out what life was like for the students who came before you! Take a look at their portraits, as well as their messages to one another, and see how much (or how little!) has changed.
The WCU Yearbooks can also be viewed online, and our digital copies go back as far as 1910!
For more information about these materials, contact Tara Wink, Special Collections Librarian at TWink@wcupa.edu, or Emily Bergen, Special Collections Technician at email@example.com. Or, stop by Special Collections, Room 615 on the 6th floor of the F.H.G. Library!
Hope to see you soon!
